A Blow For Peace - Biographical Info


Dave Hynes' hands Dave Hynes

Born and bred in Mullingar and has played musical instruments all his life but mainly guitar and the harmonica. Dave is a Master Cutler and Woodturner and runs his own business, Mullingar Master Cutlers. Presently concentrating on the diatonic harmonica, his collection of harmonicas include those in the following makes: Herring, Suzuki, Tombo and Hohner.

Also born and reared in Mullingar where he resides. He has been employed as a telecommunications technician until recently. Noel has always had a keen interest in the harmonica from a very young age and especially in Irish traditional music for which he has 10 All-Ireland Titles. Noel is currently Chairman of the Mullingar Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann. He plays Tombo Band De-Luxe Tremelo harmonicas, exclusively.

Vincent Baker's HandVincent Baker

Vinnie is a versatile musician, vocalist and songwriter who started his career with a local Mullingar band, later joining the Firehouse Showband who had a no. 1 single with "This is it." He has also played with Real Country, Dermot Hegarty and the Plainsmen, and the Times Band. He presently plays with a live band, teaches guitar and runs VeeBee Recordings - a successful recording studio. His own debut solo album, "So..." was released this past year and can be purchased online at Irelandsmusic.com.
